Preparing Data and API Access

Follow these steps to complete the initial configuration required for successful integration.

Obtain Your API Key

The integration uses the Sage 300 People API.

Generate your API key by following the instructions in the official documentation: Sage 300 People API Documentation.pdf

Set Up Generic GET API Queries

After obtaining your API key, set up the necessary Generic GET API queries in Sage 300 People.

Download the zipped query scripts: Sage300People_Queries.zip

1. Log in to Sage 300 People.

2. In the main menu, go to Utilities, then API, then Generic GET API.

3. For each query provided:

   • Open the corresponding .txt file from the ZIP attached to this document.

   • Copy the file contents into the Query field.

   • Enter the exact file name (without the .txt extension) in the Code field.

   • Save the query.

Get the ZIP File of Queries

All required query scripts are included in the ZIP file attached to this document.

• Each .txt file contains the complete query text.

• The file name is used as the Code for each Generic GET API query.
